I am with Kurt on this one. If there was some kind of alien contact, it would not be something that would just be announced. There would have to be some kind of gradual acclimation to prevent world wide chaos. Can you imagine the fringe groups reactions? From demons to end of the world theories, the fear and panic and religions turned upside down would result in much chaos throughout the world.
