Golf Carts on the Bike Path

Ok-so this morning I am on my way home from a hair appointment at Salon Twist. Going west on the bike path was a golf cart (with a license plate) loaded with adults and a couple of kids (none of them had a seat belt on) and they were rolling merrily along. There was a long string of traffic headed east and I was going west as was the golf cart. I was going to yell out at them to get off the path, but up ahead, travelling east was a Sheriff's patrol car. I thought-"Ha--go get 'em" . No such luck, he just drove right past them.
It is going to be a long summer with the golf carts up and down 30A. My biggest pet peeve is owners who let their kids/grandchildren under the age of 12 take the wheel in our neighborhoods. :angry:

Any suggestions? I have called the sherriff before--don't know if they followed up or not.

I wish I had a solution as the problem keeps getting worse. The many signs are ignored and the golf cart companies don't care as long as they get their money.

So today, as I was nearing Whiskey Bravo, guess what passed by on the bike path? A Segway :shock: --you know the individual people mover like the police at Pier Park use. He parked it at a bike rack in Seaside...what next?
