Aussie film recommend - Priscilla Queen of the Desert. The opposite of Mad Max.

Much better than "To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar".
Not saying it was bad, but Priscilla was way better...

oldie but goodie

I caught "Moonstruck" (again) the other day on TV. This is really clever and funny film. Cher is good in this one. Even Nick Cage is good. Anybody seen Burlesque?

I love that movie!

I caught "Coalminer's Daughter" (1980) last weekend - haven't seen this one in several years. one of my faves. Sissy Spacek (Loretta Lynn), Tommy Lee Jones (Doo), Beverly D'Angelo (Patsy Cline). I am no country music fan, but I love Patsy Cline and I love the story of the Coalminer's Daughter.

Ditto! I watch CmD nearly every time I spot that it's airing!

Similarly:
"What's Love Got to Do With It" (Tina Turner)
"Ray" (Ray Charles)
"All that Jazz" (Bob Fosse)
