I am on my feet 8-12 hours a day, and danskos are the only shoes I wear! I have a black pair and a red patent leather pair (my Wiz shoes... )
They are pricey...but what price can you really put on the comfort of your feet...thus your whole being? In the long run, you are saving the future of your feet...and it is worth ALOT!

PS...SAVE the crocs for SoWal!!!!!

i'm throwing the stupid things away when i replace them - i'm not about to subject my feet to those hideous things in my leisure time ! i'll have to suffer with them a while longer - just ordered some new sandals.....

These amazing wenches planned and brought lunch to my house on Friday. normally we plan a lunch out on Friday when we can but jdarg felt bad about leaving the gimp behind (can't travel yet - give me another week) so they brought it to me. I love 'em all. It was a really funn gathering, and we're threatening to do it at someone elses house next time. It was more funn than going out to a restaurant because we got to really visit and enjoy the company...

How in the world have we been so lucky to find group of wonderful wenches like this ? They are so thoughtful :clap_1:

tangent - i bought a pair of crocs for work, since we can no longer wear tennis shoes, and i despise them....they are the most uncomfortable thing i have ever put on my foot. but i paid $34.95 for them, so i wear them anyway...

audie: I'm with you on the crocs. no support! I require support and always will due to ankle. I may like some crocs or similar just for wearing to the beach or pool. But, I love my Dansko shoes. I have several pair - for summer and winter. They are expensive but if you collect one or two per year, they last forever and ever. you must go and try them on though to find out if they are for you, and what size fits you just right. I've found that they are no cheaper online.

you can get them at Birkenstocks at Sandestin. I'm sure somewhere in your neck of the woods carry them as well. some major department stores such as Dillards or Parisians have them but may only have a few selections.

let us know how they do for you! as allifunn says, many chefs and other people who stand on their feet all day wear them for work. I know Bdarg wears the mens danskos and they are cute as heck on him. jdarg gives him hell about wearing girlie shoes... :nono1:

My daughter has a red patent pair...she gets many comments from strangers when she wears them. They just look like FUNN!
