Gulf Cemetery will host the annual Memorial Day Service on Monday, May 30 at 10am.
The Memorial Day event will include presentation of colors, guest speaker Capt. Paul David Norris USAF, Young Marines Color Guard, bagpipes and patriotic music, TAPS, invocation and benediction, and a flyover by WW II vintage planes "The War Birds".
In honor of veterans, the World War II vintage planes known as “The War Birds” will conduct an honorary “Fly Over” in a missing man formation. At the conclusion of the ceremony, attendees will be invited to place American flags at veterans graves.
In the event of rain, the ceremony will be conducted at the Chapel at High Point, located across SR 393 from the cemetery. The public is welcome to attend.
