Gulf Trace

We are looking at staying in Gulf Trace in October with our three small children. Have always stayed in Seagrove/Seaside and are not familiar with Gulf Trace. Is this a family-oriented neighborhood? I keep reading that it is quiet- does that mean no children are around? Is it within walking distance of Red Bar?

There will be families and children there, but not many in October. It's separated from Grayton Beach and Red Bar by the western portion of Grayton Beach State Park and Alligator Lake. It is not really walking distance to the Red Bar. If you did walk there along the beach it would be about a 20-30 minute walk.
