Habitat for Humanity of Walton County needs volunteers for:

Sunday April 28 - 11am
Grand Boulevard between Tommy Bahama's and Laredo
20 to 25 volunteers needed

Habitat will recover all of the building material that is being used to form the platform for the Destin Charity Wine program. There are over 300 sheets of new plywood and 350 pressure treated and regular 2x4s. The platform must be dismantled and taken off the Grand Boulevard Lawn. They need 20 to 25 volunteers to work with screw guns in taking the platform apart and stacking the lumber for movement to the ReStore and the Habitat Defuniak Springs building site.

Habitat apologies for the Sunday workday but the platform must be dismantled right after the end of the Wine Festival.

Monday April 29 - 8am
Habitat needs one ½ ton or larger pickup truck (please email Nicole@ScottSocialPR.com if you have one) to pull a trailer and six volunteers to help deliver the lumber to Defuniak Springs. There will be one run up to Defuniak to unload the trailer and return, approximately a three hour round trip.

This is a great opportunity for Habitat to obtain almost new building material and keep large amounts of good lumber out of the landfill. If you'd like to help out, contact Nicole at Nicole@ScottSocialPR.com
