These are amazing photos. My husband was in San Fran on business a few years ago and took a quick trip south and drove thru Half Moon Bay. He loved it.

I am always fascinated with geographical anomalies, especially if it has to do with water. The earthquake factor in California is something I wouldn't want to deal with as far as living there, but the scenery is worth taking note. Always a pleasure

those waves are scary beautiful.
I grew up in the Bay Area and the Mavericks big-wave surf contest was always a must see. Truly amazing that people are crazy enough to try and ride these monsters. A little further to the north in SF the waves are starting to eat into the Great Highway and it is now down to one lane heading south out of the city. Thanks for posting those incrediable photos.
Hey way out west
Check out Riding Giants in the sports and recreation forum. I gulp everytime I see that guy ride that killer wave- the sound of that much raw energy must be mega scary.
