Harbor Docks owners are long time visitors and property owners in the Bahamas and are working with their friends, nonprofits and agencies to secure and deliver supplies. You can donate supplies directly to Harbor Docks or make a donation through Planting Peace for purchasing necessary supplies and relief aid to the Guana Cay island as needed. Harbor Docks team began planning relief efforts even before Hurricane Dorian made landfall in the Bahamas. Truly appreciate their efforts on behalf of our community along the Emerald Coast of Florida.

Please consider a donation or drop off supplies. Information below.

Harbor Docks

On September 1st, Hurricane Dorian made landfall in The Abaco islands of the Bahamas with 185 mph winds. Great Guana Cay was one of the first islands to take the full brunt of the storm, spending many hours in the eye wall. Many of the people who call this seven mile long island home have lost everything, it is anticipated that they will be without electricity for months.

We are currently loading a 60 foot boat with supplies to be delivered directly to the residents of the island. Once there, the boat will serve as a home base for our volunteers while they help clean up and repair homes. The boat will also be used as a ferry to make the quick trip back to Stuart, Florida to resupply the island as needed.

Due to the large number of requests from people wanting to make monetary donations, we have partnered with Planting Peace to provide an avenue for those donations. Monies raised from this fundraiser will go towards the purchase of supplies beyond what has already been donated, costs incurred, and directly to the island as needed. #itsgooderonguana

Drop off Supplies at Harbor Docks

Great Guana Cay is one of the least populated of the “out islands” in the Marsh Harbour area of Abaco, Bahamas and as such, information has been difficult to come by. We finally received word this afternoon that all residents that weathered the storm are safe and accounted for. Damage however has been described as catastrophic. We will be coordinating the delivery of much needed supplies to the island, the list posted is certainly not complete and will be adjusted as we receive more information regarding specific needs. Anyone wishing to donate items can drop them off at @harbordocks or @localmarketdestin and we will see to it that they get to those who need them most. Stay tuned for more updates on ways you can help.#itsgooderonguana
