they come and go year round, depending on north wind which brings them out on certain days.

They're terrible today. Biting me as I type this message. I live on west end of Panama City Beach. It's maddening! Beautiful sunny day & being bitten by nasty little flies. They have a BIG bite. Swat-swat doesn't scare them away. Grrrrr-- I just want to enjoy the beach & being outside.

I used to say there is NO repellant that will work until we tried The Soap Peddler's natural bug spray. It is a clear, light oil formula and I don't remember the ingredients but it worked, at least for a little while. You can find Soap Peddler at the local farmers markets or find her products at For The Health of It in Blue Mountain Beach.

Hawaiian gold cream works best. Spray is ok.
Cream hard to find. Sally's by the Sea in BMB
Had two bottles of the cream left couple weeks ago.
