I see she's reserved that seat at the table for special interests and anything that destroys the environment.

I am issuing a personal invitation to you, SWGB, to come by for a beer and see for yourself how we "destroyed the environmet". I'll be happy to show you our restored dune and the "before" and "after" pictures we have. If a wall was improperly built there are methods available to have it removed, I'm sure. The offer stands for anyone else wishing to see what was actually done properly after Dennis. Representative Marti Coley did exactly what was requested of her by some of her constituents, me included. Sometimes one party gets help and sometimes its another. I thank her profusely for standing up for us when the federal and state government wouldn't. It is time for some to start recognizing that what beach front owners do is not all "take" and there is a whole lot of "give" involved on their part.

The local bill (seawall bill) passed in the House of Representatives' Community and Military Affairs Committee and is on the agenda for the State Affairs Committee for today. That is supposed to be its last stop before going to the House floor. The Senate will also be required to approve it for it to become law. I understand that there have been no changes to the bill since it was originally filed in the House on March 7. Here is a link to the bill:
