Heading home tomorrow

Well, this is the last day of our Sowal vacation. Having to head home in the am, but am thanking the owners of this place for letting us have a extra night and two extra days at the beach. Been a nice 8 days despite the weather being not the best for the first 3 or 4 days. But it has been perfect since. Plan on trying to do one thing I've wanted to do for 5 years now and that is climb the 160 ft tall Pensacola lighthouse tomorrow on the way home. Went over there 5 years ago but did not go inside, plan on doing that this time if I can make that kind of climb. I love lighthouses.

so glad you enjoyed your stay Lady D! sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate with our plans but sometimes that becomes a great opportunity for napping, reading, porch sitting, shopping or just being. but you did get some really great weather the last few days!!! its feeling a lot like October!

If you can, stop at the Naval Live Oaks - Gulf Islands National Seashore, on Hwy 98 in Pensacola. A beautiful place to wander along the shore and among the live oaks.

Thanks Tootsie. Sounds good to me. I've seen that before, or the sign to it, always did want to stop. Still have the unwanted task of packing the car up, ugh. But we will be back next year.

Well, we did not go over to Pensacola to the lighthouse, I decided we would do that next year, had another stop to make already out of the way on the way home. One thing about it, the lighthouse will be there and the national seashore also.
