Help! i need a short term rental

I'm a college student from Michigan State doing an internship in SantaRosa Beach/Destin for an interior design firm... I need to find somewhere to live from may to august. The problem is that most places in this area either have long term lease (1yr) or weekly vacation rates that are more than i can afford in a month. Does anyone have any suggestions for a studio or 1bedroom place or know of anyone i can rent or sublease from for a reasonable rate (600-900$ a month)... Its just really frustrating because if i dont find something i will have to give up my internship

Welcome -- I'm from Michigan as well - University of Michigan. You'll probably get some leads here. You should look through some of the recent threads just in case something that was posted earlier is still available. You could also consider Panama City Beach. Depending on where you'll be working, it's not that far (it's about 6-10 miles from Rosemary Beach) and the places are less expensive there if you can't find something within your price range on 30A. You may find a nice one-bedroom condo or studio on the west end of Panama City Beach. You could look on VRBO.com and type in Panama City Beach for location and see what comes up. Then you can email people whose rates seem reasonable and who seem to have space open (many people have calendars of availability online). I hope it works out for you.

I would think that the folks who are sponsoring the internship would be helping to find you a place...what are they telling you?

Yes, they are actively helping me find a place also, but as everyone knows, it is very hard to find something short term in this area.
