We have been coming to SOWAL from Ohio for the past 6 years. We usually stay at the High Pointe - gotta love that pool! Have a husband of 26 years and we'll be celebrating our anniversary on Thursday. We have 2 daughters, one of whom is getting married this fall. I couldn't talk her into a beach wedding. We love the water, the beach, the pool, the shops and well, there is just nothing not to like. We start our drive down to Seacrest Beach TOMORROW, and will be on the beach by Saturday afternoon!! This year, we'll be there on a Sunday and are excited to give The Chapel on the Beach at the Rosemary Town Hall a try - from their website it's seems much like our church at home.
:wave:How about an up-date??? How was the anniversary

:wave:How about an up-date??? How was the anniversary

We had a GRAYT time, as always. We had our anniversary dinner at Graffiti in Carillon Beach - a place we will surely return to. We spent most every day in our usual routine - up at 5 AM (your time, 6 AM our time), walk on the beach, breakfast, pool, lunch, beach, pool, dinner, beach to watch the sunset. Funny how that never gets old.

Our younger daughter and I spent way too much money (according to my husband) at the shops in Seacrest, Rosemary Beach and Seaside. The coolest thing this year was finding "blue buttons" in the water and on the beach - something we'd never seen before. We LOVED the little Chapel on the Beach in the Rosemary Beach Town Hall on Sunday morning - it was just like our church at home, except closer to the beach, which makes it so much better!

It was hard to leave and come back home. Hoping to return next summer in early June with our older daughter and her new husband (whom she is marrying in October). He's never been to the Gulf!

I really could live in SOWAL. I don't miss Ohio when I'm there!
