Anyone been watching the stock market and, in particular, stocks like HomeDepot, Lowes, any homebuilding/construction companies, etc.? I would think these will be ticking up dramatically.

That's funny - both (HD & LOW) peaked between 07/11/ and 07/29 [Dennis ring a bell?] - Lowe's stayed up and HD dropped back down...

Sorry to get off the subject, but is that frog in your avatar OK? :dunno:
Judging by the large quantity of poop on the ground beneath him, I would say he may be eating too much. I have another photo of him, posted below, taken on 8/11/05, less than one month ago, and he was not nearly that fat. In this avatar photo, he is sleeping, while stuck to the wall.

The two shots below are of the same frog, I think, taken about 3 weeks apart.

Okay, back to the construction and building stocks.

Michigan but someday in SoWal as well
JOE went way down over the past few days (darn it!) -- below 70 and it had a high of 85 earlier this summer. Any thoughts? I assume it has to do with concerns about a bubble, as well as the hurricane(s). But I think JOE will be smart enough to market its communities as safe and well built and ideally stay away from too much ocean front without protection (maybe they'll do more concrete building...). They will learn from this as well and adjust their strategies. Much of their property isn't ocean front. Also, people have short memories and it will be interesting to see if demand for ocean front decreases for the longer term or stays steady or grows.

Okay...I almost looked for the on the floor laughing smilies after this one. I am in pain from laughing....starting with the heart felt pleas about this frog. This frog looks like he needs CPR...does he have a name?

Yeah, I'm more concerned about the frog too. He is a nice enhanced margerita color. He looks like he may have fallen into one. Make him walk the line.
