The Citizen is actively seeking a positive and passionate host/hostess to join the team. The host/ hostess is responsible for greeting guests as they enter the restaurant. Host/hostess is organized and can multi-task well. Duties include, but are not limited to:

The Citizen is actively seeking a positive and passionate host/hostess to join the team. The host/ hostess is responsible for greeting guests as they enter the restaurant. Host/hostess is organized and can multi-task well. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the wait list, taking reservations, collecting guest information through the online reservation system, Resy
- Greeting all guests with a warm welcome upon arrival
- Providing guests with an accurately estimated wait time
- Accommodating special seating requests when possible
- Relaying messages to servers, server assistants, and managers
- Thanking and acknowledging guests as they leave the restaurant
- Performing daily cleaning tasks to ensure overall maintenance of the restaurant
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous restaurant experience is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm and professional
- Willingness to work at peak hours which may include evenings, holidays, and weekends
- Can handle a high volume of guests
- Act in accordance with The Citizen guidelines
- Good attitude with a passion for high-quality service
Physical Requirements:
- Constant standing and walking
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, crawling
- Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps
- Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine
- Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work
- Constant computer/POS register usage
- Constant talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas through oral communication

- Competitive pay of up to $20/hour; negotiable based on experience
