My rental inquirers have been great but i got the feeling this early in the season with there choice of rentals many are shopping. i've rented 7 weeks already and am happy as this is still early in the season and its only my 2nd yr renting really a 2010 was ruined with he oil. but it feels like its going to be a good yr
how are peoples rental season shaping up?

Yes, good year. We're picky about spring break, so we've blocked a few weeks for which the probability of college students on spring break in the adjacent states is high and for which the probabililty of Atlanta-area moms fronting for their high school kids on spring break is high.

I hear from a lot of resorts and agencies that rentals are off the charts and that people are back to booking early instead of waiting in fear that they may not get a good rental. Since most people are getting vacation insurance nowadays the risk of booking early is eliminated.
i don't fill in my calandar online as i like to see the real demand for specific dates. for instance the week of march 31- april 7th real spring reak week in the southeast is mind boggling. i must have gotten 50 inquiries and most are families so nobody should ever discount that week. march has not been as good as i thought. i could have rented to spring breakers but not interested. i've looked at a few calandars and many houses have few if any rentals for march.also got a few rentals for late april and to may end i never got last yr.overall pretty good but a tons of shoppers also
2011 was a record year for us, and it looks like 2012 will be even better.

2011 was great despite oil rumors, etc. 2012 looks great so far
