How bad was the storm?

Just wondering how the area weathered the storm. From the radar it looked like there was a significant amount of rain. Any flooding or wind damage? The Dune Allen beach cam view looks much different this morning. The sand barrier holding the Oyster Lake outflow was washed away. Headed down this weekend...weather looks good.

I'm at Rosemary, we got about 9" in 24 hours with minor, temp street flooding. Further west, Miramar got 12". A few scattered reports of street flooding, one on 30A, and a few houses flooding a few inches in Santa Rosa Beach, but nothing else I've heard, although there are small stream flooding advisories up. Thought area weathered it amazingly well all things considered. There was little wind, just buckets and buckets of rain.

No real wind. Gulf was (still is) rough. About 15" of rain in Grayton, according to my rain gauge. Some streets are still closed here. Western lake has broken through to the gulf, and everything is still draining.

Ya know John, even the Grand Jury couldn't prevent or predict an act of nature but I'm sure they would find some serious flooding has occurred if they were instructed to do so..

Right now in South Walton:
- Gulf Dunes Ln/Gulfview Heights St. 50yd section about 12to15inches water over the road. Closed
- Pine St. 4-6inches of water over the road for about 50yd. s Pass with caution
- Montgomery St. 4-6inches of water over the road but passable Pass with caution
- Edgewood Ter/ CO Highway 393 S. Road is currently impassable at this time due to high level of standing water. Closed

Deer Lake Outflow. I've never seen it that big, ever.
