How can we Improve?

I am not saying I support the expansion of the WARS including the Libiyan excursion but it is what we are expected to do, from our expeditionary force in World War 1, Korea, Vietnam and the like. I would love the idea of not being involved in all the worlds politics and stop funding governments because we need a friend, but as I said that is what we are expected to do. I would love us, not to fund a larger portion of the UN and all countries to pay an equal share, and would be happy to send our Ambassadors some place else to dodge parking tickets and to break the laws of other countries. Really until the bombing of Pearl Harbor, or the sinking of the ship going to England prior to our entry into World War 2 what was our national interest? I'll tell you what it is, that is who we are. We take up causes and oppose oppression, we throw our men and women of our Armed Services between the oppressor and attempt to make a difference. When the world needs a body guard who do they look to, not Russia, not China, not England, not France, they look to the UNITED STATES of AMERICA and why, because that is who we are.

The views reflected here are mine and mine alone and just in case they are different than yours I apologize in advance. I am in no way attempting to diminish what our country is or has done. I am not trying to diminish the sacrifices that have been made in conflicts I have agreed with and disagreed with.

Nope. But you don't have and answer to the problem either that will be acceptable to the powers that be.

I agree, but in order to do that you have to have people whose true desire is to represent the people and not the ideology of the party or the leadership that is currently in charge. Unfortunately you have extremes on both sides and a small minority in the middle.
