How Should the Walton TDC Work? Workshop 4/12/16

The Walton County Board of County Commissioners will hold a workshop on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 3:00 PM or soon thereafter. The meeting will be held at the South Walton Courthouse Annex located at 31 Coastal Centre Blvd., Santa Rosa Beach, FL.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss various TDC governance models.

Anyone know what exactly this means? Governance? Does this mean "let's discuss privatization?" Or what the mission is? etc.?

They are supposed to discuss privatizing or partly privatizing the TDC, but with it being a workshop, it will just be discussion. No one has really said what the mission is.

Governance is broadly described as "the act of governing" (something). Usually in business, committees, etc., it relates to responsibilities (what is the work?); roles (who does the work?); accountabilities (who makes sure the work gets done?); and oversight (who checks that the results are correct?). If they're defining a model... it will likely have some of this in it;-)
