Here's a fun fact that may or may not win you a bar bet. Orlando had about 17.5 inches of rain for June. Assuming the average lot size at 1/4 acre, that works out to 119,700 gallons of water on each lawn this past month!

And I bet there were plenty of sprinklers going. :lol: :sosad:

Yes, there were. Standard procedure for most homeowners with new sprinkler sysytems is to disconnect the rain sensor after initial inspection. The city waters the road medians and parks even now between 5-6 in the morning. Even though thay use reclaimed water, it's not needed.

Could it be considered wasteful to dump out a cooler of ice when the party is over instead of waiting for it to melt so it can be filtered and used for drinking water?
