First of all, I am not pleased with KitchenAid. I thought I was buying fairly high-end appliances (not the best) when I bought KitchenAid for the beach house. We stayed at several pricey homes in Rosemary while planning our home, and they had KitchenAid, so I went that route.
The dishwasher had to be replaced at 3.5 years old. The icemaker had to be replaced at 4.5 years old. The cooktop vent has always been inefficient. In contrast, my dishwasher in GA which is 18 years old and is used year-round (versus about three months per year) still works. The icemaker that's the same age still works.
Oh, and my sister has a KitchenAid wine cooler at her beach house that is 3 years old. It died.
GM Appliance in Panama City is certified to repair KitchenAid. They're really nice (they sell and repair the appliances, but don't manufacture them, so not their bad).
