Ideas for SoWal Gifts to Buy Online

I just had some funn ordering the screensavers, "funn" hat, and calendar. So, that got me to thinking about what else would make nice gifts from SoWal that those of us who live far away could give our family/friends. So, here are some ideas that those of you who are clever and who make beautiful photos can make and we can buy:

• SoWal notecards that can be used all year round (but that can be given as gifts)
• SoWal puzzles (I just ordered a bunch of puzzles from Snapfish made from family photos to give as gifts -- they were $25 each and came in a gift tin with the photo on top and had 250 pieces)
• SoWal bears that have T-shirts that say "funn"
• SoWal mouse pad
• Pet dishes with SoWal photos
• Nice SoWal Cup -- aha even better a travel cup that people can use in the car (like that cap but that just says "funn" or some other phrase we love from SoWal.com)
• SoWal note pads -- the kind that is about 3X3 inches that you keep by the phone so take messages on

I don't kow how realistic it is for someone to make these up (e.g., whether there's a big outlay of initial cost for the creator), but the online photo places make a lot of $ at holiday time with these kinds of gifts) think the gifts should say SoWal in a prominent place because to give them as gifts, not everyone knows SoWal and they would need to be more general than that.

Anyway, those are some thoughts given I just finished my Christmas shopping. Anyone have any other ideas that would be great SoWal gifts?

Gosh... I usually put my "SoWall Thinking Hat" on when it's the end of semester and time to grade papers (I have to grade this week and next week - not a bad job, though, because I can do it from my lovely recliner by the fire). So, mid-December, end of April, and mid-August are times when you can find me putting all my energy into SoWal.com rather than grading... But now I'm going to go back to grading.

And I thought about the idea of "buying local" from SoWal and was thinking about where I spend my money during the holidays and figured I'd rather spend some of it in SoWal.

Gift certificates to favorite SoWal dining places would also make good gifts for people who go to SoWal regularly, and I'll bet we could order some of those online, too.

We have these at Fired Up! Not hard at all to paint a Sowal logo on them...or we can paint one for you!

I figured you have the cups, too. We hope to be there end of February for a family outing to make cups or something like that. Can't wait to go to Fired Up... hmmm gift certificates to Fired Up for people who visit SoWal...
