Coming first or second week in August, will the beaches be crowded then at Seagrove-Seacrest?

How about the temps/humidity?

Thanks!

They will be pretty crowded (it's high season) and it will be hot with temps in the 90s and heat index in the 100s.

The second week of August is considered "late summer" so the rates are a little less and the crowds are too. It really depends on exactly where you will be. There are many areas on the beach that don't get crowded even in the middle of summer. For instance, in Seagrove, it might get crowded near the condos, such as One Seagrove Place, but in other areas it's not crowded at all. Even when it's crowded here, it's not as crowded as Destin or other parts of Florida.

The beach in our neighborhood in Seagrove is never, ever crowded because it's all single-family dwellings, most of whose owners don't rent. One could sunbathe topless -- that's how private it is. I've done it, but have never seen anyone else do it. Obviously I wouldn't do that if someone else were on the beach. But usually it's empty. My point is that's how private it is.

We live in Missouri where the temps have been 100+ with heat index of 115 this last weekend, with HIGH MO. humidity. I'm hoping the breezes from the gulf will bring some comfort with the high temps/humidity of August. Thanks!
