I'd like to know in case I get bored with the beach or its not too hot (both unlikely). But it would be something to do in the mornings while I wait for the sharks to be done feeding.

Cassine Gardens.Yes, there is a great shady hiking trail that brings you through numerous cypress heads, not too far from Seacrest on 30-A. The access is totally hidden, within a development of condos...OK, I am ashamed to say it, but I forget the name of the place...Smiling Joe, JDarg, anyone, what is the name?
It does connect and there are other accesses. You should be aware that Cassine Gardens, while a wonderful gem, is private property. Most likely, no one would say anything to you, but it is private. The beach is also a great place to walk, unless it is middle of the day. You might also rent a kayak from Yellowfin Sports in Grayton and Seagrove, and paddle on some of the local Coastal Dune Lakes. Western Lake will wear you out if you explore all of it. It's HUGE. You could easily cover more than 6 miles of paddling while exploring it.There are also a number of trails in Pt. Washington State Forest

Has a trail map. Looks like it might connect to the Cassine trail now.
