jambone rocks hardwood Q

had dinner at jambone last night!! whew, scotty is the new barbecue king
we sowallers have been anticipating this opening for a while, it was worth the wait.
the brisket was moist and tender with the requisite amount of fat to make it melt-in-your-mouth-tasty. tried the cuban Q as well as the thai, they were both outstanding, interesting flavors but the hardwood comes shining through, very good balance.
byron said along time ago good Q doesn't require sauce, this is the case all over this menu.
there are a bunch of killer homemade sauces also for non-purists.
live music, raw bar, liquor and girls in bathing suits - it's a strong start to something that is going to rule santa rosa beach for a long time to come.

good job to the alderson clan!

I took the family to eat at Jambones last night..... What an amazing job Scott has done with the place. The atmosphere is great and the food is incredible. My wife is a fine conisseur of barbecue and loved the pulled pork with mole. I am thankful that they offer one of the best vegetarian options in town with an incredible Veg Head sandwich.....Keep up the good work, Scott....We will be back....
