jet ski lift permits

I would like to put a free standing jet ski lift just on the other side of my sea wall in Choctaw Beach. Do I need permits to do this? If so, where can I get them?

I would hope not but I never try to outguess government. You can check with the building department at the SoWal annex on 331.
