Aerial Video of SoWal's Coastal Dune Lakes

lake-aerial_0.jpg

Film maker Elam Stoltzfus flew higher than a seagull over SoWal to get some great footage of our precious coastal dune lakes.

Learn more about his current production of a full-length documentary for an international PBS audience at CoastalDuneLakes.org

Very cool!

Is it going to have narration/explanation when they show it on PBS? (Because w/ apologies to the musicians, I felt like I was in an elevator).

This overview is a little bit of an injustice. All the inlets have dams, dammit. I've seen a film of the Apalachicola River that this film-maker did and he is really good. I have confidence that the finished product will be just fine. (Especially since the soundtrack is nothing but Metallica and ACDC... kewl dude!)

It was my understanding that the inlets were all dammed as a pretective measure for the oil spill. The video was seemingly shot after mid-May when I was down. At that time there were booms across all the outflows. They are gone in the video, but the dams are in place.
