South Walton Real Estate Sales Summary for October 2010

October seems to bring the best weather along with the most brilliant emerald-green gulf water and some of the best sunsets of the entire year. 2010 was no exception. Real estate sales also looked better in October than they have for the last few months, as expected by the high number of pending contracts carried over from September.

From what I can see on those graphs it looks like there was a lovely peak during the Oil Spill crisis, and an inverse in prices as people went into fire sale mode. Guess they've come back in now that the oil never showed up.

That chart may be a little difficult to see the details. To clarify, that sales peak was May. The leak started April 20 if I correctly recall, but it never became alert news until a good time later. Those peak sales were likely written as contracts well before the news of the oil spill. Closed sales took a hit in June, but the big hit came in July.
