Anybody know of any good playgrounds around the area besides the playground at Seaside and Alys Beach?... and the beach itself of course! :D

Thanks!

From where you are, on the east end of 30-A, Frank Brown Park in Panama City Beach is probably going to be your best bet.

Travel east on Highway US98 for roughly 5-7 minutes. After you pass the light at the Hwy. 79 intersection (where there is a Burger King, Taco Bell, Waffle House, etc.), look for it on the left.

It is a high-traffic facility, so the playground is not in nearly as nice condition as Alys Beach, but it is bigger and has more stuff for a child to play on. Also, there is a very fun waterpark there.

Also, if you go back to the Hwy. 79 Intersection, and take a left, there is a public library on the right.

Hope that helps!

There is an awesome playground at Baytowne Wharf. Slides, tire swing, rock climbing and a seperate area for the smaller kids. It has the shredded rubber tire stuff covering the ground, so it is hard to get boo boo's a lot of areas for adults to sit. It is our favorite if we are taking the kids to play. Ice cream right next door and good bathroom facilities right there as well.

There is also a nice County playground in Driftwood (take Mack Bayou Road, make a left at the end, follow that into Driftwood and make a right onto Shipwreck). It has a paved path around the permeter for biking, scootering, etc., has basketball hoops, a cooking area, clean bathrooms...

The playground in Baytowne gets screamin' hot (including the shredded tire stuff), so be careful!

U.S. Gold gymnastics on Friday nights!

We've taking my grandson to U.S. Gold gymnastics on Friday nights, where they can learn gymnastic and play, from about 6 to 10 pm. Cost is $20 and seems to be, well worth it! That is, if they're still offering, that!:dunno:FYI, Baytowne will be hard, to beat!
On Fridays, you can go to U.S. Gold gymnastics for two hours.

Cost is $10
