I do disagree. You are dead wrong and exhibit the ironic complacency our society enjoys due to the dramtic reduction in infectious disease morbidity and mortality. The 'long term' data is in, and there is NO link between autism and vaccines. Period.

No longer living in SoWal, I've been avidly following the impacts of the spill on the area and all the friends I've come to hold dear. RE the dogmatic comment on vaccines/autism--to quote Chad Hugo "So I think it's better to say something than not to say anything at all, even to an ignorant person."

One researches and draws conclusions. That doesn't mean the truth of the matter is reached. The crux of the medical information is certainly in favor of vaccines; it is a very lucrative industry--valued at $24 billion in 2009 and projected to be $52 billion in 2016. The debate however is far from over, and still rages with M.D.'s, scientists, researchers, politicians and Nobel Prize winners contending the evidence decries their safety. There are numerous books written--just search Amazon.com. Mason Cooley, professor emeritus of English, speech and world lit at the College of Staten Island said, "The question you're not supposed to ask is the important one." It may ruffle feathers, cause an uproar or make you a popular target of ridicule. Throughout history, those who had the courage to question established and popular opinion were often jailed for their insolence. The important question to be asked is, "Why in a technologically advanced country with agencies established for the health and safety of its people do we have highly-toxic ingredients injected into infants, young children and adults?" Out of respect to this thread I'm not going to clutter it up with yet another vaccinophobic debate. Just be assured that there is a darn good chance that you owe your good health to being vaccinated. Go on and pay attention to RFK Jr, Shirley and the Playboy model, they are all very reliable sources of vaccine information.

There are many sources who are saying it is part of the depopulation of earth plan. That's another aspect all together.

To be fair, I looked at one of your links - it started with scare tactics about how insurance companies have abandoned coverage for 1) Acts of God 2) nuclear war/nuclear power plant accidents and 3) vaccines. :roll:

According to all of the health professionals I trust, it is currently FAR safer to be vaccinated than to not be vaccinated.

And IMO autism and ADD are being overdiagnosed to a crazy degree.

According to CBS, linked from this site, the child had all nine of the listed vaccines at one time. I'm sure glad when my son was a toddler that was not the norm. I don't think he had many more than nine total vaccinations in his entire childhood. I'm not interested particularly in the debate about the additives. My common sense tells me nine at once is too many. If I were a parent of a toddler today I would balk at that, and I don't much care what the docs have to say about it. Sometimes you have to trust your instincts.

I think if you add up ALL of the vaccines I had in my entire childhood I was still under 10 - and that includes things like tetanus boosters (which I got because of how much time I spent injuring myself on rusty items and around horses), meningitis, flu, Hep etc.

Increases in autism are likely due to broadening the definition for diagnosis.. I'd like to see how the numbers of high-functioning autistic children compares to yesterday. I'l bet there's a big increase.

A lot of it is a broader diagnosis - I believe most of the increase is in the category of "highly functional" - basically kids that decades ago were just thought to be a little odd.

And so far NO links have been found between vaccines and autism - but autism tends to become apparent at the same age when kids get certain vaccines so many think there is a correlation.
