We are some of the permanent visitors! Went to Little Italy 3 TIMES this week! We love the pizzas (very thin crust, unique combos), the meatballs, the bolognese sauce, the caesar salad, and the garlic oil dipping sauce for the perfect crusty bread. And the $20 bottle of chianti is the cherry on top.

It already feels like home- our new "go to spot" when we are busy and need a yummy meal and little hassle with crowds and waiting. Located in the old Gravel Road in Grayton, by Starbucks.

Uh oh- the secret is out. Maybe they will keep a table open for their local busy friends!

I am very dissatisfied with the treatment that we received at “Little Italy Restorante” today. We are locals and had never been to the restaurant. They had a coupon at Restaurant.com so we purchased one and decided to try Little Italy for lunch. The waitress could not have been nicer, but I assume the owner or manager was less was downright rude. His statement to the waitress was “We don’t accept THOSE THINGS for lunch." The coupon states “Minimum purchase of $20. 18% gratuity added prior to discount. Valid for Dine in ONLY. Present prior to ordering." Does anyone see “NOT VALID FOR LUNCH” in the statement.
We promptly got up and left. I left $2 on the table for my soda that was not drunk. And I will vow to never return. I will not take any out of town guests there and will tell everyone about my personal experience. My Integrity was questioned. And that bothers me more than bad food and poor service.

I normally only comment on a restaurant if I can give it a positive review. But this is an exception. In our opinion, Little Italy is awful. On our first and only visit there, we were one of only two tables. The service was terrible. The waiter knew nothing about Italian food and couldn't pronounce the names of the dishes. We had to wait so long for our food that I thought I'd claw my eyeballs out. The lady at the next table agreed with us. When the food finally came, we decided we would have been better off picking up a bag salad, Contadina fresh pasta, Parmigiano-Reggiano, and a jar of Ragu sauce from Publix. We have been to Italy so many times that I can cook better Italian food with no recipe than we had there. Then once we finished eating, we (and the woman at the next table) had to wait for.ev.er. for the check.

Maybe that day was an anomaly and someone can convince us to going back.

I think these comments are best made to the management directly. No need to make them public because they may change staff next week but this review could hurt them forever. Like trying to fix a watch with a hammer. Also in my opinion it makes you look small and vindictive.

SoWal is the BEACH - expect slow service! In the summer places are overfilled and understaffed. In off season places are struggling to stay alive and often understaffed or staffed with inexperienced folk.

There are only a couple of bad restaurants in South Walton and Little Italy is not one of them. And none of them are terrible. At least not bad enough to chop with an axe.

I think a restaurant review should be just that-the good AND the bad. If you only give good reviews, then how can the prospective diner make a knowledgeable choice. Isn't' the reason that there is a dinning and food forum on this site to let us know all about the restaurants? Not every restaurant is wonderful or great-or awful either and every place also has a bad day or nite from time to time. I'd much rather make up my own mind after having read both the great and not so great reviews about a place. Certainly most of know that we are on southern time here and we don't need to be in a hurry at the beach, but slow and rude are totally different things. I respect the honesty of the reviewer-the good and the bad.

How is them not accepting a coupon "questioning your integrity?"

I love to go there for lunch and have occasionally had slower service, but that is my only complaint. Love their pizza.
