Dan Rodriguez has a bluesy roots rock aesthetic with sharp singer-songwriter chops and a folkie side that’s unafraid to express itself with nothing more than an acoustic guitar in tow. After a round of great success with his EP 25 Years, the well-traveled veteran musician exemplifies his Americana soul roots with the 2022 release of his debut self-produced record Troubadour Family Man.

Balder Saunders began playing mandolin at age seven and became a professional multi-instrumentalist when he was 14. Saunders enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and graduated first in his class at the John Philip Sousa School of Music. Saunders moved to Santa Rosa Beach in 2000 and played in numerous bands before co-founding Dread Clampitt with Kyle Ogle in 2002. Saunders demonstrates outstanding skill as he plays mandolin, is a lead and harmony singer, and contributes songwriting to the group. His skill as a writer and arranger adds the perfect amount of intellect, wit, humor, and excitement to each piece.
Charlie Mars
Saturday May 11 @ 7:30pm
Tickets: $40 and $32 for REP Members.
Charlie Mars is a country and folk-inflected singer songwriter blessed with a warm vocal croon and a knack for crafting poignant, earthy songs. He has been a journeyman artist with major label releases and high profile gigs opening for the likes of REM, KT Tunstall, and Steve Earle. The Mississippi-based troubadour grew up listening to various styles of pop/rock, from Michael Jackson to the Violent Femmes, and developed a sonic style uniquely his own. With its sparse instrumentation and focus on transcendent grooves and ambient space, his minimalist approach to music adds maximum intensity to Mars’ already powerful songwriting.
“The melodies feel as lived in as the lyrics and linger long after the last note fades.” - American Songwriter
