Livestrong wristbands

I am curious about the yellow wristbands I see lots of people wearing. Do you wear them because you have battled cancer or know someone who has or is??? I know someone that has PC and wondered if it would be something I could buy and give to him as well as one for myself since he is a friend??

i wear one that says "there is no finish line until we find a cure"...... i like to think you can where one if you know someone or not.... cancer, not matter the type, effects everyone at some piont in their life........ donate to helpfind a cure, even if it is just a rubber bracelet
