Not sure who this is but i saw in Beach Breeze and thought i'd post here.

Local manufacturing company, FREEPORT, FL. Seeking 5 open positions for full-time employment, dependable individuals, must pass drug test. One applicant per family. Great starting pay, weekends off, gas allowance, and paid holidays. 3 shifts. Apply at Magee Industrial Park, 9646 Highway 20 West, Freeport 9-4, M-F

I've never seen employment discrimination based on family affiliation before.
That's very common. In fact, I know someone whose husband got offered a job as a pilot at Delta. His mom worked for Delta in IT, and her brother worked for Delta in baggage handling, so not even in the same departments at Delta. They wouldn't hire him due to their anti-nepotism policy. His mom took an early retirement. Her brother refused to give up his job (I don't blame him -- the hourly wages at that time were unbelievable). So she and her husband decided to divorce so that he could take the job. They continued to live together as husband and wife.

As BR said it may be a nepotism thing. It may also be an issue of scheduling and production. Generally when the flu or something comes around and one gets it then odds are good that the other person will get it. It may be left over from a previous issue. I worked for a company that subcontracted the janitorial work. The owner of the janitorial company's wife worked for the company. We had a large open area that had a balcony running the length of it. Imagine being at work and suddenly you hear "You SOB" (just not abbreviated). Then an actual physical fist throwing fight. That company instituted a policy that subcontractor's could not have a relationship with any existing employees.

That is John Magee's company. He is on the Mosquito Board. Has been in business in Walton County for quite a while. I believe it is chemicals and plastics.
