"We are honored to have such talent among our members and we are so pleased to show the community a sample of Walt’s work," said A+ Art Committee Chair Joan Vienot. "He was the overall winner of the A+ Art Series juried art show held during the month of April and we're delighted to be showcasing a larger selection of his work."

The exhibit, which features artistic photography, acrylics and watercolor, shows the breadth of Dr. Foegelle's subjects and mediums. He works in numerous media, ranging from acrylics and watercolors to colored pencils and pen and ink to wood sculpture and photography. His photographic works often capture landscapes and include local beach portraits and the sunsets. More unexpected and wildly vivid creations depict objects ranging from wood and instruments to trees and flowers. His rose series captures a single rose with variety of characteristics--metal rose, texture rose, lace rose, fabric rose, wet rose, just a rose--underscoring Dr. Foegelle's pursuit of creative endurance.

Dr. Foegelleʼs pursuit of art, music, and photography began as a child and he has been able to reignite his passion full-time. He is largely self-taught and defines himself as an explorer, constantly experimenting and learning. He credits his artistic influences to Willie Nelson for his creative endurance and longevity, and Emily Carr for her ability to create drama through tonality.

Foegelle lives in Santa Rosa Beach, with his dog Mo, who always likes his work, and his wife Linda, who frequently does not. His artistic photography is available at his Website walt-foegelle.artistwebsites.com
