Locanda Italiana Bravo! Stinky's Rocks!

Just back from 10 hot, humid days at SRB/Topsail Hill. Sampled several new restaurants this trip, and have to brag on two:

First and foremost, Locanda Italiana in SRB Village Mall is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! Run, don't walk; get there before the crowds discover it! Simply the best authentic Italian I have had, hands down. Made two dinners there with two other couples and many children, so we sampled many dishes. Our hostess, Esther, was wonderful. Her Sicilian accent just added extra flavor to the dishes. Highly recommended, and ask for Esther!

Second, dropped in Stinky's and picked up an order to go. The gumbo and the chowder were FANTASTIC! The fried shrimp basket had an unexpected but pleasant kick in the batter. Very good. Next time I'll eat in and enjoy the music!
