Macho Taco:

The time has come and we could not be more excited! Our sister restaurant, Macho Taco Cantina will "softly open" it's doors tomorrow (12/17) from 4pm-9pm!

Starting Saturday (12/18) we will be open from 11am-9pm, slowly adding on more hours and menus as the weeks go by! We hope that you will join us in celebrating this fun, new place that we created for our community and those that visit it every year! We thank you in advance for your patience with us in this 1st month as we find our groove. And most importantly, we thank for all of your love and support:)

We gave it a try yesterday, expecting service hiccups. It was not too bad. Our server was using one of the newer devices that both takes the order and doubles as bill payment device, and seemed to have issues figuring it out, but no problem. I know this place is tourist trap expensive at the Hub, not sure if this location is any less expensive. I thought the two tacos were worth the price tag, very tasty, especially the brisket. Chips and salsa (very good salsa) not free as is so often the case, but that is fine with me. But $7.50 for a common Mexican brand draft beer is ridiculous in my opinion. Seems like a destination Tex-Mex entry on HWY 98 where options abound might need to come off those prices a bit, but, what do I know? My advice would be get the tacos and a coke, but give them a try. Hopefully a happy hour or locals discount card might be in the works.

We have been back a few times, it is getting much better now versus six months ago. They do have a whiskey and tequila happy hour not sure if beer is included. My go to now is the MT salad(brisket as pictured here or pork chimichurri for protein). Chips and salsa now gratis. Dinner date had beef bulgolgi lettuce wraps. Splurged on elote. All of this food was really, really good. Excellent service, too.
