Management Co opinions

Hello,

We are new to the area and new to renting. We just finished renovating a 3br 2.5ba beachfront townhouse in Santa Rosa and are looking for a management company. We would appreciate any opinions or experiences.

I do not mind doing the VRBO work and will probably bring three or four rentals from friends/coworkers a summer. We know some friends with BeachSeekers so that is our reference point. I believe they offer reduced fees if you bring the renter to them.

We've been with Sunburst for quite a few years now and love them. Great staff, eye for detail, and honest.

Some management companies specialize in certain areas. You might want to see which management company handles most of the rentals in your area.

Definitely do your homework....getting input here is great start!

Another happy Sunburst client here! They are very professional, top notch, HONEST, reliable, and they manage a limited number of properties....about 70 I think. We previously were with a company that managed a lot more....and we are soooo much happier with the higher level of attention, detail, professionalism that we get from Sunburst. Bigger is definitely not necessarily better when looking for someone to manage your property. The difference is like night and day.

By the way, we also find many of our renters via vrbo....and then let them handle the contract, administrative details, etc.....works well for us and allows us to carefully screen our renters.
