Another thread headed by Shelly has me all nostalgic. I wondered if anyone had some fond memories of places around here they'd like to share. It can be attractions, lodging, whatever pulls at your heartstrings. Photos would be awesome. Here are some that come to mind for me and a couple that have been mentioned.

1. Petticoat Junction:love:
2. Kiska Court
3. The old wax museum. Someone help me with the
name on this one. :dunno:
4. Funland- I don't know how it stays in business.
5. Obviously Miracle Strip
6. The Sea Witch Motel

I'm sure more will come to mind. :D

museum of man in the sea - i pass it all the time, but have never headed in. anyone have any experience with it? It intrigues me since my dad was civillian navy, and we'd go to the navy yard in dc all the time.

I've not been there in years. As a teenager, by bf and I used to climb into the various contraptions an make out.

You rang?

Sorry, can't contribute to this thread. Up until 4 years ago, if you asked what a Panhandle was I would have directed you to Calphalon.

Snake-A-Torium.

Does anyone remember that dump? You could get in for no charge if you brought a snake.:clap_1: My father, always frugal, took full advantage fo this.
