Last night was the big night. We had no idea what to expect due to all the rain, but we wound up with a crowd in the 150 person range. They were great. The night was great, and catching up with old friends topped it all off. As promised, here are some pictures. When I can figure out how to squish the video files into a manageable file size I will post those, too.
Enjoy!
It was a good stage and a good room for sound
We tried to keep things varied and had a couple acoustic sets
My friends call this bass "The Beast". It's a 1982 Kramer 8 string with an aluminum neck. It weighs about 84lbs (just kidding, but it is really heavy) and has such a unique sound that makes it well suited for the Cheap Trick that we do...
The group shot. The guy in the Captain's hat is our original singer from 28 years ago. He drove all the way from Tampa to sing two songs. In a tribute to River Otter, we had him play cowbell on a bunch of songs!
When we got back together we knew our drummer did not have real drums. I set about trying to find him a set to play, but after we heard his electronic set in rehearsal, there was no need. Those things are great!
The crowd was great. At any given time we had close to 100 people inside!
Now, let me go work on those videos!
