Unbelievable. They should have had blacktop down days after tearing it up. Somebody in old point Washington must have really pissed off Walton County.
It's been a third world country forest road and there are thousands of trips per day on it. Unreal.

Now dealing with trerrible road and a detour ...

Again I just have to wonder why they tore up a loooong section of road 2 months ago and not right before paving? And all the other work on shoulders stopped long ago. WTF is going on Walton County!!!????

Looking back on this thread, they started work on north 395 probably about April 7th, a full month and a half ago. And they seem nowhere near finished.

The very painful detour was in place all last weekend, and while using it several times I saw absolutely nothing being done as far as construction goes, and there were many dry weather gaps. Maybe it is too swampy to do anything at this point, which is really bad given summer showers.

Just went by there. No workers except near Eden they had half the road blocked and a a hole dug 15 feet deep. Hit a water main or something. The unpaved portion closed off looked Relatively dry.

Not easy constructing a real road from a path that had some asphalt laid on it many years ago. Building a real road on sand is not easy but complaining about it seems to be!

Very funny - since I volunteer at Point Washington Medical Clinic and have 2 children and 5 grandchildren who live in the area I am on the road 4 - 6 times a week.

Thank you for your service old man. Why do you think they tore up the road and let it get worse and worse for 6 weeks while it was dry? Why no work at night? Why the absence of workers all day?
