Does anyone know if the county will be installing a Bike path on N 395 as part of the current construction
project.
That road REALLY needs one!

Yes. It will extend the current one from 98 to about the church. Although some trees are being lost it will be nice for people to be able to ride and walk the path to schools, churches, state park....

It looks like they are starting to build a bike path on the west side of 395 north, directly adjacent to the road. It's very preliminary, but I think all bike paths should be separated from the roads they parallel.

Still a bit early to tell but I think it will be on east side and separated from road.

Nearly 2 months into this and we have half a mile of a dirt road so rutted out it's barely drivable.

Wow what a mess from the recent rains. It's treacherous!

I can't understand why the ripped up one section and leave it unpaved for so long. Work has slowed to a crawl.

As most area residents and travelers are aware, the CR 395 North Reconstruction Project is currently underway.

Due to the excessive amount of rain and heavy traffic on the unpaved portion of CR 395, the segment of roadway between US 98 and East Point Washington Road will be closed to allow for the preparation for paving beginning, weather permitting, Saturday morning, May 30, 3026.

Traffic will be detoured to East Point Washington Road to CR 83. The detour will remain in place until the paving of that segment is complete.

We appreciate the public’s patience as we work to improve this important thoroughfare.

For more information, call Walton County Public Works Engineering at 850-892-8108.

Unbelievable. They should have had blacktop down days after tearing it up. Somebody in old point Washington must have really pissed off Walton County.
