NatureWalk at Seagrove Beach is hosting an art exhibit and holiday open house today and Dec. 26 ? 31 featuring local artist Bill Stephenson, who was recently named 2007 Walton County Artist of the Year.
Stephenson has been a wood turner and a student of woodturning for about 20 years. In 2001, he moved the facilities of WoodArt Studios from Loveland, Ohio, to Santa Rosa Beach.
He produces one-of-akind woodturnings, all of which are hand-crafted. Stephenson is renowned throughout the region for his wood creations made from raw wood materials salvaged from power line, road and building construction, cabinet shops and tropical storms.
Stephenson?s collection can be viewed at Nature-Walk at Seagrove?s welcome center, 2063 County Road 395S. The facility is open to the public and will serve complimentary coffee and pastries from 9 ? 11 a.m. and then wine and cheese from 2:30? 4:30 p.m. each day of the exhibit.
