Hi everybody,

I wasn't going to start this thread, but, decided that it would probably help speed my search. I haven't been on much lately, with all that's been going on with my new career, with AIG American General Life and Accident Insurance Company. I'm a fairly new Insurance Agent, in the Mobile area. I assist people and companies with all types of Life, Accident & Health Insurance, as well as Annuities, etc... I will be commuting from Mobile and working out of our Fort Walton Beach & Pensacola Regional offices. Currently, I have my AL & MS license and will have FL's, soon. Yes, others, to follow!:D I'm a Worksite Specialist, meaning, I establish company employee benefits. Though, I assist individuals and families, as well.

Anyway, back to my thread.lol I'm looking for a rental house or townhouse, with 2-3 BR'S. 2 BA'S is preferred, but, may not be a deal breaker. A fenced yard and garage would be a plus, as well as storage. I would also like to keep the rental, under $1000. Unfurnished is preferred, but, negotiable. I realize that $1,000 might seem a stretch, but, I'm known to be a deal finder!;-)

Obviously,I would prefer to live in SOWAL, but, need to be closer to FWB. I would prefer the Niceville area to FWB, if possible. Destin isn't out of the question, depending on the property. I'm negotiable on the length of term, but, prefer at least 6 months. I simply need to get over there, to decide on permanent roots.

My sons & grandson, are in the SOWAL area. I can't wait, to be closer! I look forward to hearing from anyone, with suggestions. I'm starting this thread, because I'm aware that there are people on this board, that have interests in those areas. Meanwhile, if I may help anyone with their insurance needs, please let me know!

Have a great, weekend!

If you're going to be working out of FWB & Pensacola, wouldn't it be better if you find a place between the two--like Navarre or Gulf Breeze? Commuting in and out of Destin & traveling up and down on 98 (between FWB & Pensacola) is a bear!

Good point, Shelly, that I am taking in to consideration. I'm still trying to get as close to SRB, as possible. I just hate the traffic, over in the Destin & SRB area! I won't rule that out, anyway! Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right? Anyone know of any property, from FWB west? Thanks again, for the posting! Short term, possible.

Got to Realtor.com: hit "Rental" tab; and plug in 32566 (Navarre zip); then plug in your rental payment amount range.

I really would avoid Destin if at all possible. When I was working in FWB, it normally made sense to go through Destin in the morning, and the commute then wasn't bad.

But add in summer tourist traffic and a heckava lot more people on the roads between 4-6:30 pm, and it can get ugly. It took me 35 minutes to get from my house to work in the morning going through Destin. Before I decided to go past Eglin at night, there were times it took my 1:15 to get home at night because of the traffic between East Pass and the turnoff to the Mid-Bay Bridge.

Thanks, Beachmouse, I'm tending to agree! Fortunately, my schedule will be very flexible. But, getting stuck in that traffic a few times, would be the pits!
