I know what you mean! When you have never been there, it's hard to imagine what it will be like. But you've picked an amazing area to go to. We have only been to Adagio but I don't think you can go wrong with either place. You'll have a wonderful time! And yes, there will be kids there. It's a nice, family friendly area.

When are you going? I am leaving on Friday to go down and stay at Adagio with my husband, 2 boys (12 and 9), my 15 year old daughter and her 15 year old friend. I can let you know how it is after I get back. I looked at Bella Vita as well. From what I heard it sounded like Bella Vita does not rent out as many units. I have heard that a lot of families go to Adagio so depending on when you are there I would think your 5 year old would have some kids to play with. Not to mention the pools look fabulous. We usually stay in Seagrove at Dunes of Seagrove and really like it there but decided to try something new this year. So this will be a first for us at Adagio and we are really looking forward to it. I'm sure that no matter what you choose you won't be disappointed. We love it down there! I'm sure you will too.

Have you seen the great virtual tours of both complexes on this website? On the home page, click on rentals and there are a couple of both Adagio and Bella Vita. Shows a nice view of the beach and pools. I can only speak for Adagio, but they both look great. Adagio does have a larger main pool with three tiers which is fun. But a pool is a pool to most children. We ended up at the smaller oceanfront pool mostly because our condo was right there. Having been to Adagio, I wouldn't hesitate to go to either one. :D

I posted about the trouble I had at the Adagio on Trip Advisor when you asked on that forum. I can only say that the rat problem might be gone now since it's been a month since I was there. Seeing two rats, one on my patio and one by the gulf front pool did not make me want to return. The The Adagio is a very nice place but was certainly having problems when I was there. And don't forget about the trouble I had with the two freezers not working and the repair man never showing up all week. All the problems might be fixed since a month has gone by, but I would go with the other condo for now.
