Need Watercolor Rental-Winter Break

Hi,

This will be our third trip to SoWal. Due to spending all my vacation money on cancer treatment for Gus, the World's Ugliest Dog, (really-he's that ugly!) my budget is limited. I am hoping to find a 3+ bedroom house in Watercolor available for a week anytime from Dec 20th to Jan 3rd for an all-inclusive rate of $1500. Gus may or may not be coming as he is quite ill. Technically, he is a pet and I know some renters have strict pet policies; however, due to his illness, he is not mobile, and brings his own bed with him.

Just saw the article in the AJC on Gus. So sorry to read of his passing. It is hard to lose a family member, even the four - and three-legged variety.

Try sanders rentals. We chose them. I'm not sure if 1500 will get you that time. There is a monthly rental in Magnolia cottages by the sea for 1700 and try orlando vacation retreats...go to beach houses on there drop down menu. Grayt rates...but they go fast!

Yes, that was my famous Ugly Gus-ling who lost his battle with cancer on November 10th. He was the best.

I'll have to okay it with hubby, but I'd consider $1900. My house is not in Watercolor, but it has the advantage of being less than a one-minute walk to the beach with fabulous Gulf views and a private beach shared by just 5 homes. It's walking distance to Amavida, Las Botanas (sp), Flip-Flops, Angelina's, Cafe Thirty-A and less than two miles from Seaside. It is available Dec. 20-27. PM me if you are interested.

Heat for the private pool and spa is extra (the gas for the heater costs us a lot this time of year).

It's also for sale if you want to buy it. We want to downsize so we don't have to rent and can spend months at a time at the beach.
