New Malaware worm on Facebook

There is a very dangerous worm circulating through Facebook that you need to alert people about. The article is running on CNN right now.
You get a message from a friend to take a look at a Youtube video. You click on the video and get another ?Youtube Looking Page? pop up asking you download the latest version of Flash Player and even has a photo of your friend on it to make it look authentic. If you hit download, you get a worm that infects your computer and allows remote access to malicious users to all of the information on your hard-drive.

Nasty!!

I post this on Sowal because the article states that Facebook is just the largest social networking site being hit with this right now, but that it is not limited to just Facebook.

It's not very new, but it's always good to remind folks to be careful.

That is a form of phishing - someone trying to get you to take an action that is harmful to you. The fault is not with facebook. But since it is on facebook you would be more likely to trust it. There is a lot of junk like that out there. Most virus protection software will catch it.
