Ok, maybe I'm over reacting and this may have already been covered but...
What is up with the new rule that you can't buy hot wings with the sauce already on them or buy a glass of sweet tea at Publix?

They have some kind of notice from the county about a new ordinance.

I just don't get who has time to legislate this kind of crapola.

I know it is petty to vent about it but I just feel we are being micro managed.

My guess is that it's not a restaurant so you're not supposed to be eating there - which makes sense from a Health Code standpoint, but not from a "every grocery gives out samples" and "it's a deli" standpoint.

It was something to do with the fact that the ingredients of the sauce or the tea aren't printed anywhere. It makes little sense to me, who would even complain about something? I'm a little put out that now my wings come with "some assembly required".

I know how you feel because I felt the same way when Trader Joe's had to stop setting out samples at the check-out because someone complained about it, citing some obscure health department regulation. It was a good thing while it lasted, though. :sosad:

There are these things called stickers...................... which Publix uses to list ingredients on other in-house items, why can't they sticker the tea and sauce?

Well, that is about stupid. What's next, being able to buy only pre-packaged items at restaurants? Some rules and regulations are stupid, and should be changed. I'm all for labeling laws on packaged foods, but if I am getting something like Lima Beans off the buffet at Publix, I don't want little stickers on them.

IMO, current labeling laws are mostly hogwash, anyway. The other day, I was reading a label on a G2 (Gatorade light version), and noticed that they didn't even use correct math regarding the number of calories in the container. They feature the product as being less calories, yet for the entire container, they incorrectly wrote that it had 70 calories, instead of the 62.5 calories, which it contains.

Yep, they print the ticket for the wings...

Hot Wings $55.00lb

Ingredients may or may not contain the following:

Chicken Wings
Delicious Hot Wings Sauce who's recipe is a secret.

That would be enough for me...
