Destin/Walton County Biz owners: The first meeting for our Biz owners networking group is tentatively scheduled for the second week in June. We still have a few openings, and for now, there are no fees to join. Let's get together, make friends, and help one another grow those businesses.

Probably the biggest difference is that this group is Niche or industry exclusive...Only one realtor, one insurance agent, and so on.

Basically geared towards creating a small more intimate outlet for those who prefer a less formal way of networking and the intimacy of a smaller group.

The group's mission is to assist its members with building their center of influence and allowing a forum for sharing/assisting others with similar aspirations. Similar to BNI but without the fees.

In my experience, niche/industry exclusivity affords a more idea rich and unencumbered atmosphere. Unfortunately, the Chamber cannot always offer this because of their purpose of serving the business community as a whole.

That being said, I am a HUGE advocate for Chamber membership and am a firm believer in its purpose.

Thanks wesman70 for forming this group, I agree with you that there is room for a niche networking group like Emerald Coast Entrepreneur's Network.

I am looking for a business opportunity with an existing business that is expanding and interested in a working partner. Strong Marketing and Business Development background and strong work ethic. Interested in hearing about any business, have worked in various fields. Moving to 30A from Atlanta.
